A most unusual design brief - display a life size golden Pegasus from Kylie Minogue's Aphrodite Les Folies Tour in the Hamer Hall foyer!
Part of the Performing Arts Centre Collection at @artscentremelbourne the studio worked with Simon Luciow from @speldesign to design and produce a plinth made from welded mild steel, powder coated aluminium and acrylic which weighed around 350kg - slightly more than the object itself. The plinth had millimetre tolerances and had to be modular and assembled on site due to access restrictions.
Thanks to Simon for precision measuring, manufacture, transport and installation and to Project Manager at ACM Megan Williams for ensuring 'Peggy' met all conservation, access and engineering requirements.
